Diverse Tokyo Discovery: Meiji Shrine, Harajuku & Shibuya

Begin your day with a visit to Meiji Shrine, located near Harajuku Station and Yoyogi Park. This popular destination is not only vast in scale but also surrounded by a beautiful, tranquil forest that lines the sacred path to the shrine. Here, in the heart of the world’s largest city, you can experience a moment of calm and reflection.

Continue to Harajuku, a district full of its own unique charm. Strolling through its streets offers an authentic immersion into the vibrant Japanese atmosphere, allowing you to truly take in the surroundings.

Your journey then leads to Shibuya, a paradise for shoppers and a global icon of Tokyo. While it boasts countless stores, Shibuya is best known for its famous scramble crossing. When the traffic lights turn red, pedestrians surge into the intersection from every direction in a perfectly choreographed rush of energy. Towering screens flash vivid images, neon lights illuminate the scene, and the area buzzes with constant activity. Featured in films like Lost in Translation and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, as well as music videos and newscasts, it’s a quintessential Tokyo experience.

Before returning to your hotel, visit Ginza, Japan’s most prestigious district for shopping, dining, and entertainment, known for its luxury boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and some of the most valuable real estate in the country.

Best of Kyoto Tour & Tea Ceremony

After breakfast, meet your private guide and set out on a full-day exploration of Kyoto.

Begin with the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the residence of the Imperial Family from 794 until 1868, when Kyoto served as Japan’s capital. Here you can admire the palace buildings from the outside and stroll through the beautiful gardens, which have only recently been opened to the public.

Next, head to Arashiyama, Kyoto’s second most important sightseeing district, rich with temples and shrines. Its highlight is the world-famous Bamboo Forest, one of the most photographed spots in the city. Walking through this ethereal grove feels like stepping into another world, unlike any other forest — an experience not to be missed.

Continue to Kinkakuji, the celebrated Golden Pavilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan’s most famous Buddhist temples. Known for its stunning architecture and serene surroundings, it offers visitors a sense of peace, harmony, and spiritual renewal.

Your day concludes with an authentic Japanese tea ceremony, a centuries-old tradition considered one of the most refined cultural experiences in Japan. You’ll have the chance to don a traditional kimono, enjoy the delicate flavor of matcha green tea, and savor specially prepared Japanese sweets designed to complement the tea.

After the ceremony, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 6
Arrival & Fukuoka City Tour

Upon arrival, your private driver will meet you at the train station and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, meet your private guide and begin exploring Fukuoka. Start with a visit to Yusentei, a stunning Japanese-style garden that once served as the villa of the Kuroda feudal family until the mid-19th century. Next, enjoy a taste of local culinary culture by trying Nagahama ramen, a beloved specialty among Fukuoka residents.

In the afternoon, head to the Hakata district on the eastern side of the city. Here, you will visit Tochoji Temple, home to the Fukuoka Daibutsu, the largest seated wooden Buddha in Japan, and Kushida Shrine, which has been a guardian shrine for Hakata merchants since the 8th century. The shrine is especially known for answering prayers for prosperity in business, long life, and youthfulness.

After the tour, the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at your own pace.

You may also choose to stay an additional day for an optional excursion to Nagasaki. Known worldwide as one of the two cities struck by an atomic bomb during World War II, Nagasaki preserves this history through the moving exhibits at the Nagasaki Peace Park. Other important sites include the 26 Martyrs Museum and Oura Cathedral, which recount the persecution of Christians in Japan and the sacrifices of those who refused to renounce their faith. These places offer powerful, unforgettable stories that deserve to be heard.

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide and driver in the lobby for a private city tour of Busan.

Begin with Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, beautifully situated along the coast — an unusual and striking location for a temple. Originally built in 1376 by the renowned Buddhist teacher Naong during the Goryeo Dynasty, it was reconstructed in 1970 and offers breathtaking ocean views.

Continue to Jagalchi Market, Korea’s largest seafood market, famous for both its live and dried fish. Here, visitors can even enjoy fresh raw fish on the spot. From there, head to Nampodong Street, the vibrant hub of the Busan International Film Festival (PIFF).

End the day with a visit to Busan Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, offering sweeping panoramic views over the city and its busy port. Day 10
Seoul Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide and driver in the lobby to begin your private city tour of Seoul.

Start with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace, the first and main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, originally built in 1395. Considered by many to be the most beautiful of Seoul’s Five Grand Palaces, it remains the largest and most impressive. Within the palace grounds, explore the National Folklore Museum, which displays historical artifacts from the daily lives of Korean people in the past. The exhibits offer insight into domestic life, agricultural traditions, and cultural beliefs throughout Korea’s history.

Continue to Insadong Antique Street, a vibrant hub for traditional Korean arts and crafts. Its narrow alleyways are lined with shops selling folk handicrafts, handmade pottery, and unique paintings. Next, stop at Namdaemun Market, Korea’s largest traditional market, where most goods are crafted by the storeowners themselves.

Your tour then takes you to Namsangol Hanok Village, a collection of traditional houses reconstructed to reflect life during the Joseon Dynasty. The village showcases a variety of homes representing different social classes, from peasants to aristocrats, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling modern city.

End the day with a visit to N Seoul Tower, the city’s first tower-type tourist attraction. From its observation deck, enjoy a stunning 360-degree panorama of Seoul. After taking in the views, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 11
DMZ Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide and driver in the lobby and head to Imjingak Park. Here, together with your guide, you will join a shared coach for a full-day DMZ tour, offering a rare opportunity to get very close to the border between North and South Korea.

The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer between the two countries. During the tour, you will learn about the history of the division, the tensions that still remain, and the ongoing events that shape the relationship between North and South Korea.

At Dora Observatory, you can look across the Military Demarcation Line through high-powered binoculars. On a clear day, you may catch sight of North Korean villages and industrial parks beyond the barbed wire fence. Another highlight of the tour is the 3rd Underground Tunnel, constructed by North Korea to allow up to 30,000 soldiers per hour to pass through — large enough even for tanks to move unobstructed.

After the tour, your private driver will meet you and return you to your hotel in Seoul.

Note: This is a full-day tour with an early morning pick-up. Please bring your passport with you. A dress code is enforced at the DMZ: avoid torn clothing (including ripped jeans), garments with profanity or offensive language, leather pants, or any military-style attire.
