Hiroshima City Tour with Miyajima Island

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide for a full-day exploration of Hiroshima. Begin with a visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, once the political and commercial heart of the city before the atomic bombing. The park’s central feature, the Peace Memorial Museum, presents a powerful and moving account of the events of August 6 and their lasting human impact, serving as a solemn reminder of the importance of peace.

Continue to the A-Bomb Dome, also known as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. This former Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall was one of the few structures left standing after the explosion. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it stands as a poignant symbol of Hiroshima’s history and resilience.

After lunch, take a ferry with your guide to Miyajima Island, officially named Itsukushima but famously known as “shrine island.” The island’s most celebrated landmark is the centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine and its striking torii gate, both built over water and appearing to float during high tide.

Following your exploration of the island, return to your hotel in Hiroshima for an evening at leisure.

Fukuoka City Tour

After breakfast, meet your private guide and begin your exploration of Fukuoka. Your first stop is Yusentei, a serene Japanese-style garden that once served as the villa of the Kuroda feudal family until the mid-19th century. Stroll through its peaceful grounds and admire the refined beauty of its traditional landscape design.

Next, enjoy a taste of local flavor with a bowl of Nagahama ramen, one of the city’s most beloved dishes among locals.

In the afternoon, head to the Hakata district on the eastern side of the city to visit Tochoji Temple and Kushida Shrine. Beppu Exploration

Set out on a captivating full-day journey from Fukuoka to Beppu, one of Japan’s most renowned hot spring (onsen) destinations. Surrounded by volcanic landscapes and famed for its abundance of thermal waters, Beppu offers a fascinating blend of relaxation, culture, and natural wonder.

The highlight of your visit is the legendary Hells of Beppu (Jigoku Meguri) - a collection of unique and visually striking hot springs. Despite their ominous name, which in Japan colloquially means “hell,” these springs are not for bathing but for admiring their beauty and geothermal power.

Marvel at the brilliant cobalt blue waters of Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) and the striking crimson hue of Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell). Each site has its own distinctive features, shaped by centuries of volcanic activity. You’ll witness bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and other dramatic displays of nature’s artistry.

This immersive tour offers a deeper appreciation of Japan’s rich onsen heritage while allowing you to enjoy Beppu’s diverse and extraordinary landscapes before returning to Fukuoka.
